Day 69:

“Woman” (2006) by Wolfmother

“Woman” (2006) by Wolfmother

I’m still way off trying to understand women.  But I can empathise with them, the amount of pressure we put on them.  All at the same time, we want them to be our:

*     Wife
*     Mistress
*     Mate
*     Mother
*     Daugther
*     Sister
*     Cuz
*     Secretary
*     Nurse
*     Maid
*     Employee
*     Nanny
*     Stepford
*     Usher
*     Chef
*     Shrink
*     Priest
*     Masseuse
*     Waitress
*     Tour Guide
*     Wonder Woman
*     Deputy
*     Teacher
*     Trophy
*     Rock
*     Timekeeper
*     Villain
*     Clown
*     Plaything
*     Fantasy
*     Prostitute
*     Own
*     Vegetable of silence and inaction
*     Bastion of undoubted servitude
*     Instrument of all whims and desires
*     Target to kick around when it all goes belly up

And if these roles are not fulfilled, we will only get a:

*     “Bitch”

I know, it’s incredibly demeaning and would be the greatest source of burden anyone can be bestowed.  And, I’m positive; it’s much easier being a man than it is being a woman.

I’m not promising that I understand women with this writing.  I’m not promising that I don’t treat women as I’ve discussed above.  I’m just saying I’m learning – as slow as that may be.
