“Letter to a Friend who had a Fallout with Music”

Dear John

Bro, I hope you’re well and I hope this letter gets to you in good faith. But it's a dam shame about what happened to you and Her. What happened? Was it you or Her? I know I’m ya mate and all, as I am to her. And I don’t wanna be choosing sides. But, to be honest, I really think you should get ya act together. Better yet, apologise, bro. She’s a great girl. Me and my Mrs love her to bits. So we really have to ask - what happened?

Bro, she’s been there for you for a very long time. We're m really disappointed in what’s happened. Remember those good times? Remember when she shook ya booty and made ya sweat. Can’t go wrong with that?! How ‘bout when she made ya get up on that table to make ya do that Pete Townshend impression? That was so funny, that day! And of course, she was there for you when ya Mum passed away. That was really cool of her to do that – to be there for you.

How about the places she’s taken you? London, back in 1978; Seattle back in 1992 and, of course, Miami, back in 1982. I remember the trip we took with her to Welly in 2005. That was very memorable.

Everytime we went with her to a concert, any concert, She’d always hum in our ears for a week. And, I don’t wanna sound too personal here, but just as anyone would analyse her every bump and crevice of her, you always manage to hear something new. She just keeps on offering more and more. She's truly a keeper. That's why, again, we ask - what happened?

I recommend, bro, that you be adult enough to take the first step:

Take a deep breath
Walk into the room (when no one else is there)
Put her on,
Lay in, and
Let her take over. She’ll show ya the rest of the way.

Me and the Mrs will always love her. And we both love of both of you. Otherwise, whatever decision you make, we hope it would be the best decision you make. Give us a bell when you're ready to want to talk to us.
