Ben: 100 Writings / 100 Opening Guitar Hooks

various, random creative expressions / writings, inspired partially by 100 popular songs (songs that somewhat begin with a leading hook of a guitar.)

Day 100:

I’m done!

This has been an incredible project.  I’m absolutely proud of what I’ve achieved, especially in line with what Emma had outlined at the start of 100 Days.  It’s been tough, but thankfully my creative spirit had pushed me through.  Thanks, Emma, this has been a blast!

The Word / is all I heard

There are many writings I wish I could take back, but understand that through mistakes, you become better creatively, so I’ve left them there, though part of me is almost disgusted at what I’ve done there, at times.  I’ve mixed it up, here and there, to try and provide some sort of variety for the reader, when from what I’ve ultimately learnt, it never mattered.  All that mattered was that I was in the exercise of writing continuously.  The audience, eventually, had to accept what I was doing.  And I was confident with that.

Never fight / to Write

And the main thing I learnt, essentially, is to continue writing – without this project.

Constant / Consonant

Thanks and credit to: Emma and the team at 100days for their unbelievable project, allmusic.com and discogs.com and youtube.com for their assistance in research, the thousands of musicians I’ve written via or of or about in this project, my friends, Reece, Rob, Kellianne, Tony, Mel for their assistance; to my lovely sister for reading every single page every day – thanks, sis!  And, I guess, I gotta credit myself for it, as well!

The Pen’s been my great friend, right to the end.

Thank you.
